SECTION 1 — Introduction
Terms & Policies for Sewing Skills Academy
These Terms & Policies outline the guidelines, expectations, and responsibilities for all participants, parents/guardians, and visitors engaging with Sewing Skills Academy programs, classes, events, and digital platforms. By accessing our website, enrolling in our programs, or participating in Academy activities, you agree to the terms described below.
Rules of Conduct
SECTION 2 — Participation & Safety
Sewing Skills Academy provides sewing education for youth and adults using sewing machines, tools, and related equipment. To ensure a safe and productive learning environment, all participants must follow the guidelines below:
• Youth participants must have parent/guardian permission to enroll.
• All sewing activities involve the use of needles, scissors, machines, and other tools that require caution.
• Instructors provide safety guidance, but participants are responsible for following instructions and using equipment responsibly.
• Parents/guardians acknowledge that minor injuries (needle pricks, small cuts, etc.) may occur as part of hands-on learning.
• The Academy is not liable for injuries resulting from misuse of equipment or failure to follow instructor directions.
• Disruptive behavior may result in removal from a session to maintain a safe environment for all students.
Our members must prioritize physical safety and social courtesy. Improper tool usage or hostile behavior within our studio spaces will prompt immediate removal to protect our sewing family. We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for actions that jeopardize our collective peace.
SECTION 3 — Photo Release
All youth featured on this site participate with full parental/guardian photo release. Photos and videos are used solely for educational, promotional, and community‑building purposes related to Sewing Skills Academy.
Parents/guardians may request removal of a specific image at any time by contacting the Academy.
SECTION 4 — Rewards Program Terms
The Sew & Grow Rewards Program allows participants to earn points for completing sewing projects, attending classes, and engaging with Academy activities.
• Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
• Points may be redeemed only for rewards listed within the program.
• The Academy may update, add, or remove rewards at any time.
• Points are non‑transferable between participants.
• Fraudulent submissions or misuse of the program may result in point removal or program suspension.
• Participation in the rewards program is optional and intended for fun, motivation, and skill development.
SECTION 5 — Accessibility Statement
Sewing Skills Academy is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for all participants and visitors.
• We aim to ensure our website, digital content, and in‑person programs are accessible to individuals of all abilities.
• Accommodations may be requested for classes or events, including modified instruction or adaptive tools when available.
• If you encounter accessibility barriers on our website or in our programs, please contact us so we can address them promptly.

SECTION 7 — Liability & Waivers
By participating in Sewing Skills Academy programs, you agree to the following:
• The Academy is not responsible for injuries resulting from failure to follow safety instructions.
• Parents/guardians accept responsibility for ensuring their child follows all safety guidelines.
• The Academy is not liable for lost or damaged personal items brought to class.
• Participation in sewing activities is voluntary and involves inherent risks associated with crafting and machine use.

SECTION 8 — Privacy Policy
• We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting personal information.
• We collect only the information necessary for enrollment, communication, and program participation.
• Personal information is not sold or shared outside of Academy operations or required partnerships.
• Parents/guardians may request deletion of their child’s information at any time.
• We use secure systems to protect data and maintain confidentiality.
