Letting go of a person, place, or thing can be easy for some, and extremely difficult for others; even when we know in our soul that the time is near, here, and/or has passed.

Have you ever entered a place of business, the doors just opened for business and the clerk behind the counter is already in a foul mood? You wonder "why all this attitude, the doors just opened?" They could be unhappy in their career or life, destined for elsewhere and better days, but stuck in a habit, or maybe you long to relocate and you can see, smell, and taste where you are destined to be; but, you stay in your current habit? And dare we mention "relationships"?

No matter the circumstance, individual, or location, my grandmother would always say, "Kelli, a lady knows when to bow out gracefully". Now, has every separation/departure from a person, place or thing been "graceful"? No! Could they have been? Yes! Then why not? Becuase I did not "bow out" when I KNEW it was time.

Imagine if we acted when our mind and spirit was gently advising us, versus when things became so bad, bridges burned, feelings hurt, words said, tears shed, terminations/layoffs happened, wounds deep, mental health fractured, finances a mess, and for so many, in directions that are unthinkable or unspeakable.

Now, just think, if we listen to our heart and soul with the faith, strength, wisdom, and the God within! Imagine, how smooth the transitions could be? The going away party that will celebrate the decision to depart and grow; the relationships that could remain because the decision to let go was in the best interest of everyone, the new job, the new business, the dream home, the new neighborhood, and friends; whatever your soul is screaming from within, imagine having it all because you decided to HAVE FAITH and LET GO!!

Can you think back to a time in your life when you did let go? Did you think to yourself, "what took me so long", "why did I wait so long", "I wish I had done this sooner"? The beauty in those words is that you did, in fact, let go, and believe it or not, THAT action is enough! You took a leap of faith towards that which kept your spirit awake at night and whispered loudly during the day.

[He whispered], "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you

Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
~ Footprints in the Sand

Now, close your eyes and imagine where you want to be, who you want to be or be with, and what changes for the better occur once you arrive at your destination; listen to your spirit, where is it guiding you? Now, open your eyes and think what if you never "let go", and all those opportunities, dreams and beauty you just envisioned, are missed; say aloud "I have the faith, courage, and vision to "let go" of the habits I created, and that which is no longer healthy, happy, or best for me and move towards what I know, by faith, taking God and of course, my wise and persistent Spirit with me".

Now, let go.
